Hat Day and Recitals

Trinity Baptist Church's Sunday School had a fun contest - Hat Day! Everyone that wore a hat got a candy bar, and the craziest and tallest hats got a big candy bar.
Children's Church with hats!

Joanna won the tallest hat award

Craziest Hat winner!

My two violin students had their first recitals. Both girls played piano and violin. They both did a great job! We had a little difficulty with a violin bow - it was so slick that it wouldn't play. It will have to be re-haired and she used my bow for the recitals instead.

Joanna practicing her piece one day after church. Lily is sitting beside her, and Anna is enjoying listening too. Lily is clapping after the song, I think. Both of my violin students love to play with my girls after church. I love having babysitters!

Hannah playing during the dress rehearsal. I didn't get pictures of them playing their violins. I was concentrating on their playing as their teacher and didn't think about pictures.

They both memorized their pieces and played them smoothly with no re-starts. I was proud of them and how well they both played their violins. They have come a long way in one year of lessons!

Carlie's First Birthday

Tri-opoly with Emily and Steve! It lasted until midnight with the final two players calling it quits to get some rest. Without seeing it to the bitter end, we think Emily won.

Carlie celebrated her first birthday at Bear Lake.

Live - in Milton, Florida!

Grandma and Grandpa Bryan gave Lily a magnet-draw toy for her birthday.
Dr. S. M. Davis came to TBC Wednesday night to preach on marriage for Valentine's Day. He said that expectations ruin relationships.
I was excited to see him live because I had watched his sermons 15 years ago and here he was for real - in the flesh! Who needs to go to the walk of fame in Hollywood - he came to Milton!
We had to squish to get everyone in the picture. :-)

This morning I took Anna to her pediatrician for a wellness appointment - she was pronounced healthy.

She is growing up so fast.

To get equal time with Anna I snapped some photos of Lily at lunch.

Lily's Birthday!

Today is Lily's birthday and we celebrated already before James had to go to work for the evening.

I think she was full of cake and partying

Anna really enjoyed Lily's cake!

Life in February

Pastor Brubaker was here in Pensacola so I took the girls to the revival meeting the other Thursday night to see him. Steve and Emily and Jimmy and Samantha were there too. Brother Bru took this picture to make Mrs. Parker and Mom Joyner jealous. :-)

The Harvey family hosted Church fellowship, and my girls were so fascinated by their dog on the back porch!

Lily loves for James to read to her.

Anna is going to be a computer programmer and a sewing expert. She loves pushing buttons on my laptop and playing with my measuring tape. I think the couch was measured at about 10 inches long.

Mommy's Helpers

The girls helped me make lunch the other day decked out in aprons.

James just digitized this for Rebecca. It is the Scottish Campbell Clan. At its largest it can sew out nine inches tall!
