On the way to Pensacola we saw a water spout! It would have been a tornado if it was over land. Excuse the poor quality picture taken with James' iPhone. There is a mark on the window, but you can see the waterspout beside that above the barrier.
We attended a NICU reunion at Sacred Heart Hospital. There were lots of twins there and even two sets of triplets! All of the attendees were treated successfully at the level three NICU at Sacred Heart. Several of those we spoke to were surprised and pleased that Anna got a clean bill of health from the Neurologist - many of these babies have on-going health issues.
We got to meet the Red Robin and Chickfila mascots. We also got to see the nurse that prepped Anna for her transfer from Baptist Hospital to Sacred Heart that memorable Sunday afternoon.
Anna almost a year ago as she visited my hospital room before being transferred by ambulance to the NICU.
This is a very fuzzy picture of the transport team working on Anna to stabilize her oxygen levels before her transfer. We got to speak to the nurse on the right at the reunion.
We painted our kitchen Monday and Tuesday! Lily saw me getting a picture of James and jumped in for her share of fame.
Lily joined Anna in crawling across the kitchen.
Anna likes her nightlight.

aww! I wanted to go to that reunion sooo bad, but we were driving back from Kentucky!!! When are they having another one?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, a NICU reunion. I had never heard of it before but it must have been fun.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay in answering your question, Samantha, I couldn't get it to work on my phone. I think the NICU reunions are annual. At least our invitation said "2013 NICU Reunion." I assume they are the same time each year too.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun, Vanessa. I was reminded again of the sanctity of life as I heard of some of these healthy-looking children that were only 1 - 2 pounds at birth. I think babies are aborted at almost that weight.
