James' Four-Day Weekend Part Five

Sunday we spent all day at church and got home that night at 10:30pm.

Anna has started this thing of pulling down
her crib bumper and chewing on the edge.
Sunday School was a combined service and no buses were running. There are very few church kids left to teach with no bus kids, so we combined our three young classes into Mom Bryan's class. I stayed because I don't get to see Lily in her class usually and this was my chance. She was super fidgety during the lesson.
I put Lily's hair in a ponytail like Mom Joyner showed me.
I don't have pictures of the rest of the day, so I will just tell you about it.

We had morning church, then dinner on the grounds. After dinner I changed the girls and myself into casual clothes and settled Anna and Lily down to their naps. They both slept for three hours! I guess we had worn them out with our crazy schedule. It was amazing to have so much free time to play outside without being side-lined with baby care.

I waited out the baseball game, then I played two games of volleyball. I was pretty bad at the volleying part - I kept hitting it out of bounds. The second game was better since I was getting warmed up and volleyed with my fist instead of an open hand. That works much better for me.

At 5:30pm the Harmony Sextet (the young ladies' singing group that I am in) practiced. Then we had church at 6pm. I played my violin in the orchestra and my group sang a special in the service.

After church we had church fellowship downstairs to celebrate TBC's anniversary and Adam Mitchell's PCC graduation. After they ate, James and several others played more volleyball - until 10pm. I took the girls out there to watch for the last hour.
