The Last Few Days

Thursday morning James and I practiced a violin/cello duet most of the morning and then we had to hurry and get lunch before James had to leave for work. Sonic had 55 cent corn dogs so we went there for lunch.

I think she liked the breading best.
After James left for work in his car, I took the girls to the Navy Boat Dock playground briefly. We played a little then waded in the water.  The rest of my afternoon was spent quilting.

Friday we went bike riding around our neighborhood.
Lily helped Daddy get ready for bike riding.
The girls got to ride together in the bike trailer. It was Anna's first long ride! Anna is much smaller and falls into and behind Lily so that's why we had the pillow there.

We biked all the way up our road to the Shell station to get energy drinks. I needed energy at that point! The road there is uphill most of the way, I was pulling the girls, and I haven't been bike riding in awhile.

I finished quilting the quilt, cut out the binding, and sewed on the binding while the girls were napping. I think the biking exercise gave me energy!

Close-up of a block.

The machine sewing stitch

It looks like hand stitching somewhat.

The binding is sewn down and it is on our bed. One ten-year-old unfinished project done!

James played with the girls this morning.
While I was sewing the binding on the quilt, I finally finished up the nativity scene too. James rigged two lengths of dowel rod together (using the cartridge of an ink pen) and hung it up. It looks big!

This morning we drove to Baker to Ruthie's Notions to buy thread for another tile scene - County Church. They were having a class about our sewing machine and I really wished we could have stayed longer to attend, but James had to work this afternoon.
Anna being cute just now
